The Story Behind Alchemy Astrology by Tim Wilkerson

In 1984 I learned this basis of this particular application of astrology at Paracelsus College from the late Dr. Albert Richard Riedel, also known as Frater Albertus. He was considered to be a research authority on ancient alchemical techniques and he personally translated many of the old Germanic alchemical writings. During the last 30 years I have charted the astrology for each of my alchemical experiments as he instructed and I have found definite correlations to his teachings. I’ve also made a few discoveries of my own.

Basically, Alchemy Astrology is the study of the heavens as related to activity on Earth. It doesn’t try to predict the future or define a person. It is taught primarily as an instrument in determining real cosmic influences in the laboratory. For instance when the Moon is in Virgo distillation is faster at lower temperatures, and when it’s in Capricorn the fermentation process starts quicker. These influences repeat with the calculated path of our lunar companion. Another calculated factor is whether the overall influences are active, neutral or passive on a given day; active days being the best time to start a project.

This astrology system is founded on the rudimentary discoveries first employed by ancient peoples as they compared the sky to events on Earth. The Moon’s physical effect on the ocean tides, animal migration, sprouting, harvesting, and birthing, all appeared to be associated. Ultimately this way of looking at existence translated to noticing similar personality traits between people born around the same date even though in different years.

Over the millennia observers also saw repeating patterns of influence in community relations. This knowledge is particularly helpful when alchemy students use it to ‘know thyself’ which is a very important part of the art of the study. In addition to its use in the laboratory, when it comes to understanding an individual, it’s difficult to deny that alchemy astrology is a great item to have in your tool box.

This simple system of astrology is very easy to learn and it’s undeniably an advantage in life. My passion for alchemy and astrology culminated In 2009 with the creation of the AlchemyAstrology.com website, and by 2011, I published my handbook on the subject. I’ve been teaching steadily ever since.

kcwilkerson-2013Tim Wilkerson is author of the handbook, “Alchemy Astrology, Lost Key To The Philosopher’s Stone”, published in 2011. Convinced of it’s benefits, and after many requests for birth charts over the years, he turned professional as an astrologer in March of 2012.
